I'm Alycia Colon ,a high school student enrolled in Garnet Valley High school. My interests include drawing/painting, softball, reading,and spending time with family and friends. I am currently in 12th grade and 17 years old. My goals include maintaining my current GPA, completing the college application process,focusing on my career interest, and staying involved as my final year at the high school comes around. Following graduation, I aim to attend West Chester University and earn my Bachelors in Communication Disorders and Sciences. If all follow as planned, I aspire to be accepted into a Speech Pathology Masters program.

      I would love to travel and see the world, introducing new ideas and being exposed to different experiences. Skills I enjoy working on would be drawing and painting.I have taken exploratory art, color and 2D design, Contemporary Crafts, Interior design,currently taking pottery,and have selected to take a drawing and painting course next semester. As an alternate to Speech Pathology, education is also a career that I have interest in.

     I have explored other careers, for instance, Interior design, and learned as much background on them as possible. During my junior year, I completed a project, which consisted of shadowing a designer. Before choosing the career to shadow, I researched three other majors, gathering information on each, finally deciding on Interior Design. After the shadow was complete, I came to the conclusion that the career was not for me and continued my search for others.
